I wonder what it feels like to just go shopping for what you want, when you want. I wonder what it feels like to walk out of a store with bags filled with all things your heart desired{without worry}; whether it be groceries for your family, prizes for yourself, toys for your kids, etc. I'm sure I'll never know. Unless... I wanna run up a lot of credit cards. And as much as I love to shop, I loathe debt even more. There must be some kind of millionaire-needs-to-spend-money-so-they-aren't-taxed-and-willing-to-take-you-shopping program, right? {I'm quite aware that that sentence is not grammatically correct.} If anyone knows of such program, hook a sister up. My birthday is coming up {47 days}, and that would be the present of all presents. I would let he/she buy me anything he/she wanted to.
I'm sure he/she would want to buy me these things...
I was editing wedding pictures and singing my heart out to Pandora today, and my song to Amelia came on. Jack Johnson singing "Angel".When she was dedicated at Eagles Way Church, this is the song we had put on her video of pictures. It's now been stuck in my head all day. Maybe putting it on here will somehow get it out of my head? I'm sure everyone has already heard it. It's sweetness.
Amelia gets a sheet filled out about her day at school every time we pick her up. I've kept all of them in a folder, and look at them every time I put a new day in. I am always so proud of her for always being a sweet happy baby at school. She has always had "happy" "busy" and "curious" circled. Those are all good with me, but I've wondered why she has never had "friendly" circled? Is my girl a one year old bully? Or is she too shy to have friends?? No. Phew! Today she had "friendly" circled on her sheet, and I was extra proud!! Tomorrow she has her first school field trip. Nonie's Ark is coming to her school and bringing a slew of animals for the kiddos to pet/look at. {I wish it were right now. Actually, I wish she were doing anything else besides pitching a fit on the floor beside me.}
Speaking of animals and reasons to pitch fits. We have a snake hanging out by our door. It's about 10 feet (or inches) long, and as soon as I forget about him and open the front door he starts slithering my way. EEEEK. Amelia really doesn't understand why we can't go outside, and I really don't know how to explain to her that that "small" thing is a really bad thing {especially since her dad will tell her otherwise} and momma's not going near it. Ugh. Aren't those things supposed to be headed off to hibernate by now? And bears that are apparently roaming around our town? Go crawl in a hole and go to sleep already. I feel much more safe camping {and walking out my front door} in the winter knowing those two things are fast asleep.
Off to check on my dinner in the crockpot, and my child that is all of a sudden too quiet. This is my second night in a row cooking dinner, by the way. I'm definitely patting myself on the back for this. Enchilada Casserole last night, Seafood & Corn Chowder tonight. Mmmmm.
I've been busy busy this week. I haven't said that in a long time! I've got lots of weddings to edit! 2 down, 3 to go. I'm taking a short break from that to blog per my momma's request.
This past weekend a couple contacted me from my ad on Craigslist to take some couples pictures of them while they are in town from Texas. They got quite a deal, because I am certainly not a professional, but looking to expand my "portfolio" and experience. They did however, ask to edit their own photos, as they are web designers and are into that kind of thing. That saved me a good 3 hours! I did have fun with them though, and thought they were a sweet little couple. I edited a few pictures to have for myself, and here are a few of them.
{It was fun to edit these not having to please anyone but myself! Still learning what Photoshop is all about and trying to figure out my style.}
{They had a fun water balloon fight..I was secretly hoping one would hit me to cool me off.}
I hope more people contact me from my ad!! It's fun to take photos, and always nice to have extra cash in your pocket.
Have I told y'all Amelia can feed herself now? And can climb up the stairs of her playground and slide down the slide by herself? :( Sometimes she still reaches out for my hand as she slides down, but I think it's more for me than for her.

{My pretty pretty princess}
Gotta get back to editing. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow! If not definitely Friday to tell you about Amelia's first field trip, and Lion King 3D with Michel. Happy Wednesday!
Adam has been helping my parents move into their new place the past two days, which forced me to do the dishes yesterday. Apparently I'll be doing them again today.... I am only doing them because they get so piled up, I can't even stick my hands under the faucet to wash them. Which makes me fully understand why Adam almost always exclaims, "HOW DO WE DIRTY SO MANY DISHES?" when he is cleaning the kitchen. Seriously. How? This is what I can see out of the corner of my eye as I try to pretend my house is clean, and it's ok for me to play on the internet.
I could cry. Why do I hate doing the dishes so much? Why do I gag every single time? I'm going to need my parents to give Adam back to me. Right. Now. I wish Amelia would wake up so I would have an excuse for not doing them. Someone feel free to come throw rocks at her window. Ok, ok, I'm going......
I was up later than usual last night tagging/pinning, hanging and inspecting 500 baby items. Not really, but close enough to 500 to make me cringe. There is a baby consignment sale in town this weekend, and if you become a seller in the sale or a volunteer you get to shop earlier than the public! Well, I signed myself and Michel up as sellers so we could scoot in and pick out the cutest clothes for Amelia & Poppy before everyone else. Little did I know, volunteers {who are only required to work 1 four hour shift}, get to shop at 5pm. Sellers {who apparently put in way more than four hours of work}, get to shop at 6pm. Malarky, I tell ya. I will be donatin' my junk to the Goodwill and volunteering myself for any baby sales in the future. Anyways, tonight at 6pm we will be racing other moms to the sizes we are hunting for our babies. Watch out moms who may be looking over sizes 18m-24m, I'm on a mission to make tonight worth my hard work.
After the baby sale tonight, I fully intend on spending some of my "plus" points for my Weight Watchers program this week. Froyo, here we come! Don't worry, Adam, frozen treats never spoil my dinner. I actually prefer dessert first anyways. Speaking of dinner, I just threw a concoction of things into the crockpot this afternoon. It smells wonderful, but looks weird. I'll have to get back to you on the taste. If it tastes ok & gets approved by Adam, I'll tell you what I put in there.
With the weather getting cooler, it is more tolerable to take Amelia out to play in the evenings. Her favorite thing to do in the backyard? The nasty toy car that is extremely weathered. Buy the girl a nice swingset, she wants to play on broken-down play cars.
{She looks like her little friend, JettTakle, here!}
Have I mentioned how much I love her? Do I need to? I can't wait to love another little like I do her...
The time is here{kinda}...I've slept in long pants this week and worn sweatshirts every morning! But at about lunch time, we go back to the HEAT I've been trying to escape. Sigh. Soon! Soon the heat won't come back to haunt us mid-day. Football season is also here. Thursday. Friday. Saturday. Sunday. Monday. FOOTBALL.
I really don't mind. I actually like Saturday {college football} and the other nights I get to do whateva I want. Blog, pin, clean, roam around Target, online window shopping, snuggle/play with Amelia, eat and hang with my mom and sister. I think I just love fall so much that I won't let all this football bring me down. I actually would like to have a football party over here so I can make these cutie foods. {Yeah, most things revolve around food around here.}
Another thing I love most about this time of year is the fun holidays! Halloween is so soon! Today we put some costumes on Amelia and they were a little snug, but the cutest thing I've ever seen. Wanna see??
{excuse the fuzzy phone pics}
Have you seen anyone cuter? I won't believe you if you say yes, but that's probably just because she's mine. Gonna go fall asleep to the smell of hot cider, thanks to my sister for giving me a block of fake scentsy and scentsin' up my whole house. It smells wonderful in here!!
I took an unexpected break from blogging this past week. We traveled to Georgia two Fridays ago to spend the Labor Day weekend with family at Jackson Lake. We were headed home first thing Monday morning, until we got a phone call in the middle of the night Sunday night/Monday morning telling us of tragic news. Adam's little brother, Justin, was killed in a car accident early Monday morning. When we first got the call it seemed unreal, like a bad dream. Unfortunately, it was real and nothing could be done to change it. It's scary that you can go to sleep one night, and your whole world can change while you're sleeping. I only had the privilege of knowing Justin for two years, but enjoyed all the time we spent with him. He was a sweet, sweet kid. As tough as it was losing a family member/Adam's sibling, it hit me even harder as a mom. My heart was so broken for the whole family, but even more so for his mom, Brent. I cannot imagine the heartache of having to bury your child, and I wish nobody had to go through that pain. My heart is still breaking, and it has been heavy on my mind and heart every day since the accident. He was a very proud uncle to Amelia, and we will miss seeing and talking to him when we visit Adam's family in Griffin.
We are just settling back home in Florida from our time in Georgia, so I should be back to regularly posting on Blogger tomorrow!

{Meet Pluto, the Chihauhau}
This last picture is the picture is of all of us in the Peeples Family. I had it printed on an 8x10 for Amelia to take to class and hang on the family wall. Speaking of the Peeples family, we added an extra member to our fam this week. Pluto the Chihauhau. He's pretty dang cute, and an exceptional puppy! He slept all night last night and didn't wake us to take him out 1000 times! He has used his puppy pads anytime he has relieved himself in the house, which hasn't been much. I'm cool with good puppies! We got him from the Walton County Rescue Center. We have a feeling he was abused before we got him, and he was going to be put down if he was not adopted in a few days. Break my heart!!! I could never put puppies "down"! I would be the known as the crazy dog woman if that was my job. Going to do some editing for a wedding this morning and then cleaning and packing to leave for the weekend. Have a happy day!
